SafeLists' Ongoing Resurgence
With email servers working harder than ever to free the world of spam, many have begun to automatically filter out just about every kind of email -- even some that people have gotten and wanted, such as information from the programs they belong to! So much so, that email marketing is becoming an endangered species within the internet community.
Virtually the ONLY form of email marketing that is still effective and reliable are Safe Lists. And that's only because safelists are actually like private clubs, which members must join, in order to participate in.
Thankfully, some safelist owners are doing their best to respond and make this type of marketing much more worthwhile than ever before.
WHAT IS A SAFELIST?
A safelist is a special program that allows members ONLY to send each other mailings. They cannot send an email to just anyone, only to other members. When a marketer joins a safelist, they are opting in to receive email from the other members. Now, because of this, many email servers (Email Service Providers, or ESPs) are not allowed by the safelists -- and the safelists will say so right up front.
But it's better to get a SEPARATE email account for safelist marketing, anyway. Or, actually, two. One for the actual mailings and one for the admin mailings, since those can become quite busy, too. But that's all right. In fact, it makes doing safelist marketing a lot more organized, since all information related to the safelists will stay within those accounts. (Remember, you CAN get two accounts -- with different names -- with the same ESP.)
WHAT's NEW?
One of the greatest advantages that have been added lately to many Safelists is "credit-based mailings." These allow users, by simply clicking on a link within each email, to earn credits. These credits, in turn, translate into the amount of mailings they can then SEND out.
This added feature ensures that more emails within Safelists are actually BEING READ by members who wish to earn credits. But the REAL value of this type of system is that, WHEN someone clicks on a credit-link (i.e., to earn their credits) they are ALSO visiting the sender's site-- and the sender receives a hit, which translates to traffic to their site.
So safelists are now operating much like traffic exchanges.
I, myself, have seen the beauty of this system in action. By simply participating in 5 or 6 safelists, my own site has suddenly seen a HUGE increase of traffic within just a few weeks. In fact, I can see the difference from day to day, depending on my own actions. That is, days when I do send out a mailing compared to days when I don't.
Now, it's true. These are NOT targetted hits, generally. BUT, the traffic alone has put my site over the magical 4/10 ranking point in page rankings and I am NOW enjoying front page status on several searh engines with several keywords. So I know this system works-- and well.
THE BEST
One of the safelists to really OPTIMIZE this feature is Traffic Pro List, which offers both generous monthly and per-click credits, plus strongly encourages users to keep their emails "marketer-friendly" by not allowing HTML code or long posts. . . both of which ENCOURAGE the click-for-credits crowd.
AND Traffic Pro List ALSO offers marketers a very good way to make REAL money, by offering some of the BEST commissions seen in safelist marketing yet! (Pro members earn $5 per pro or executive referral; executive members earn $5 for pro referrals and $10 for executive referrals. These are all MONTHLY commissions, not one-time, so members can build up a SUBSTANTIAL income in a relatively short time.)
And, because this list is new, they are offering several exciting EARLY BIRD specials. . . including 40% off pro and executive ANNUAL accounts, and BONUS credits just for joining now. The text says this will only apply until there are 500 members, so joining now -- especially with a pro or executive ANNUAL account is well worth the money!
